Senior Data Engineer

As part of a strategic partnership with a key customer, we’re embarking on a major initiative to redesign and modernize their data infrastructure. We’re looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer to help lead this transformation - building efficient, robust, and future-proof data pipelines that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a new data foundation that powers advanced analytics and cross-functional insights.

Responsibilities 

  • Design and maintain ETL pipelines with Airflow, 

  • Integrate data from various structured data sources (e.g., MySQL replicas, APIs) into Postgres DWH, 

  • Ensure data quality and performance, 

  • Ensure the data infrastructure supports reliable and timely Power BI dashboard updates, working closely with analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting needs, 

  • Work closely with analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure data pipelines deliver the necessary inputs for financial metrics, customer trends, engagement, and marketing performance tracking, 

  •  The technical lead of the project is responsible for overseeing the data engineering aspects, working closely with two data analysts to ensure effective data management, analysis, and implementation. 

  • Support architectural improvements to data pipelines and schema design.


Your Expertise

Required: 

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, 

  • Experience with Airflow, SQL (Postgres, MySQL), 

  • Scripting in Python or Bash, 

  • Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data processing systems, including ETL processes and data pipelines, 

  • Knowledge of containerized environments (e.g., Docker), 

  • Ability to translate high-level business needs into scalable data solutions by designing, appropriate pipelines, models, and data flows in collaboration with analysts. 

  • Lithuanian and English language skills.

    Nice to Have: 

  • Experience ingesting data from RESTful APIs, 

  • Azure or Databricks exposure,

  • Experience with Power BI,

  • Understanding of data modeling and data security,

  • Experience with CI/CD and observability tools for pipeline health monitoring.

  • Ability to work hybrid or remote.
  • Full FTE.
  • Gross monthly salary:  4000-6000  depending on candidate's experience salary can be agreed.
